The Ministry of Health in Zambia yesterday, Monday 15, August 2022 – announced the partial lifting of COVID-19 preventive measures in 22 districts that have attained vaccination coverage above 70%. Compulsory wearing of masks has been lifted in the respective areas.

These 22 Districts include Chililabombwe, Shibuyunji, Kalulushi, Mufulira, Mushindamo, Kasempa, Chingola, Chifunabuli, Luanshya, Chitambo, Kapiri-Mposhi, Luangwa, Mumbwa, Serenje, Kabwe, Chibombo, Luano, Ngabwe, Chembe, Mongu, Sesheke, and Solwezi.

The lifting of wearing of masks in 96 districts, including Lusaka have not yet been declared due to below 70% vaccination coverage.
