Bloggers of Zambia in collaboration with Paradigm Initiative organized a DRL Workshop ICT Policy Setting and Shaping with the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and an Advocacy Workshop for legislators and policymakers for the members of the Parliamentary Committee on Media and ICT held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka on 15 March 2022 and 16 March 2022, respectively.

This workshop was necessitated so as to review the problematic laws affecting Internet Freedom in Zambia and the discussion on Pro-Rights ICT Policy at Regional and Local Levels. Furthermore, the workshop included some discussion on the Zambia Cyber Security and Cybercrimes Act 2021. The advocacy workshop with legislators and policy makers had the discussion of the Malabo Convention on the African Union Convention on Cyber Security and Personal Data Protection as a continental framework for national cyber security and Personal Data Legislation.

Here are a few quotable quotes from participants at the two workshops.
